Getting the linens right...

Source: Style me pretty
We are getting a little disappointed with the limits on our choices with colours. It is - firstly very difficult to find a couple who dares to defy all odds in our Asian tradition to use a bold darker colour in their theme and when we found that couple, we cannot find the table linens. Well, to be exact, we can, but at an exorbitant cost!

We just wish someone will bring in lovely non-traditional linens for a planner's use... Nice plain linens, not satin, not patterned (or at least tastefully patterned) and not glitzy. Just elegant, classic and clean.

Here are some choices we picked out and wished someone has them here at a reasonable price!

Less is MORE...

Source: Amanda Hein Photography
The Big, Bold and Beautiful may not be everyone's cup of tea...Sometimes, less is more and also, great for the budget. Lots of brides are having fun doing DIY projects for their weddings. Get a few galfriends together, take out the arts and crafts stash and off you go!

Doing Simple, Subtle and Seductive decorations for your wedding can be messy if you have no palette theme in mind. So here are some ideas which we know are do-able and ever so pretty!

Spring time love...

Pictures speak a thousand words but unfortunately for us, we cannot upload a thousand pictures so here are the top 50 we love from one of our weddings earlier this year. Photos courtesy of 39 East.

You might find Davin and Janice familiar... probably because they kindly helped us out with our photoshoot recently (thank you guys- big love!)

We honestly do not know where this couple gets their energy from... They started bright and early with gate crashing at 7am, followed by the traditional tea ceremony, a church ceremony at noon time (with a lunch reception of course), a dinner reception for 500 in the evening and lastly, an after party at Stereo Lounge. It was a very long day but even at the end, they were still all smiles and dancing away!

The theme was based on springtime colours like emerald green, shades of pink and a tint of ivory.

The wedding was packed with a lot of personally crafted entertainment which made it so special. Davin did a surprise solo for 3 minutes dedicated to Janice and was joined by his entourage at the chorus. Janice's friends performed an 'old irish jingle' lyric-ed around her personality and a couple of speeches were also made.

We were very excited about the VIP chairs. For the first time in Singapore, tiffany chairs were covered by beautiful soft organza frills which we created to match the theme. We hope to start using them soon at our other weddings!!

There are a few 'Thank You-s' which we like to pass out for making the event so memorable:

1)Benny Ong from Canopy Design Pte Ltd who created all the Stationary - Invitations, Menus, Wishing Cards for our Wishing Tree and the Program booklets.
2)Wonderland for providing the lovely Gold Tiffany Chairs which we used the VIP tables.
3)Louis from Amormeus for making our dream seat covers come through!
4)Aloysius and Ned from 39 East for their ever so beautiful pictures.
